Separately, since June 17, 2024 secure airside connectors let connecting passengers walk between adjacent terminals without re-clearing security: International Terminal A-gates <-> Terminal 1 <-> Terminal 2 <-> Terminal 3 <-> International Terminal G-gates.
SFO suggests at least ~50 min commonly cited airline MCT (domestic-to-domestic); airport recommends allowing more. for a domestic connection and ~60-90 min typically; international arrivals clear U.S. customs in the International Terminal (except U.S.-preclearance origins such as Canada/Dublin). when an international flight is involved.
