Speed and coverage

LAX WiFi delivers adequate speeds on the LAX Free WiFi network. LAX WiFi provides adequate speeds for browsing and email; streaming and video calls may buffer during peak hours when the most passengers are connected simultaneously. Coverage extends throughout the terminal areas and concourses — you generally do not need to reconnect as you move through the airport.

Charging stations

USB-C charging strips are near most gate seating in the rebuilt terminals (T1, T3, T4, T6–8); Terminal 2 and TBIT have floor-level power outlets near gates. Most major US airports — including LAX — provide a mix of USB-A, USB-C, and standard 120 V outlets at gate seating. Bring your own cable; cables are not supplied at charging kiosks.

Pro Tip

Speeds can slow noticeably during peak afternoon hours (3–8 PM) when passenger volume is highest; download your entertainment before arriving at the airport.
