Los Angeles Int'l (LAX) Airport Shopping

Shopping at Los Angeles International Airport spans convenience staples at Hudson News and tech accessories at InMotion through to local specialty gifts and duty-free for international travelers. See each section below for exact locations by concourse or terminal.

Duty-free liquids must stay in the sealed store bag to clear security on international connecting flights.

Duty-free shopping

The Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) has the most extensive duty-free at LAX, through Paradies Shops and specialty boutiques. Cosmetics, fragrances, spirits, and luxury goods are the main categories. Larchmont Junction in TBIT carries Tom Ford and Le Labo fragrances alongside Tumi luggage. Terminal 6 also has MAC Cosmetics and limited duty-free-adjacent shops.

US duty-free allowance

US residents may bring back $800 in duty-free goods per person. Liquids purchased at duty-free must be in the original sealed store bag when transiting international connections — otherwise they may be confiscated at the connecting airport security checkpoint.

Books & magazines

Hudson News at all terminals. Evolve by Hudson at select locations showcases goods from local LA artisans alongside books and magazines. Larchmont Junction in TBIT carries curated titles alongside premium lifestyle brands.

Convenience & travel essentials

Hudson News convenience stores at all eight terminals. TBIT has the widest convenience selection. Evolve by Hudson locations in TBIT and select domestic terminals carry locally sourced products from LA artisans alongside standard snacks and accessories.

Hudson News is at most gate areas throughout Los Angeles International Airport — a reliable last-minute stop for charging cables, snacks, OTC medicine, and reading material before any departure.

Tech & electronics

InMotion Entertainment at most terminals. Best Buy Express kiosks at LAX carry Apple accessories, Bose headphones, and phone chargers. Apple accessories are also available at InMotion locations throughout all terminals.

Best Buy Express kiosks carry Apple accessories, Bose headphones, and phone chargers at most major US airports. InMotion Entertainment is the other key tech stop — open at most gate clusters and stocked with travel-oriented electronics essentials.

Fashion & specialty retail

TBIT has the strongest fashion retail — Larchmont Junction carries Tom Ford and Le Labo fragrances, and Tumi luggage. Coach and Michael Kors boutiques are in TBIT for luxury fashion. Standard airport apparel and California-themed shops in domestic terminals.

Best shopping area

The Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) is LAX's premier shopping destination — duty-free, luxury brands (Tom Ford, Tumi, Coach), LA-specific products from Evolve by Hudson, and the widest restaurant selection. If your departure is from a domestic terminal, consider a pre-security visit to TBIT if time allows.

Pro Tip

If flying domestically from an older LAX terminal (T1 or T7/T8), retail is thin — the rebuild of these terminals is ongoing. Arrive at the airport via TBIT-level connections if possible to access the better retail before heading to your domestic gate.
