Uber and Lyft pick up under the canopy at the Ground Transportation Center, not at the terminal door. Follow the covered walkway signs to the GTC; rides do not pick up at the baggage-claim curb.

Dropping off? Drop off at the terminal curb; pickups route through the GTC. Long Islandhas a single terminal, so there's no wrong-curb risk — any door gets you to check-in and security.

ISP sits about 50 miles from Midtown Manhattan (NYC), a drive of roughly 60–100 minutes via Sunrise Hwy (NY-27) and the LIE (I-495) run west toward New York City; most travelers take the LIRR instead — closer to the high end at rush hour. That drive time is the first input into your Leave-By Time, so the calculator counts it backward from your flight along with today's security wait and the walk to your gate.

By rail, your option is Ronkonkoma Branch — figure about 90 minutes to Midtown Manhattan (NYC). The LIRR Ronkonkoma / MacArthur Airport station sits just north of the airport and is reached by a short shuttle or cab; direct trains reach Penn Station and Grand Central in under about 1.5 hours. Suffolk County Transit Route 6 also serves the airport.

A shuttle and taxis connect the airport with the adjacent Ronkonkoma LIRR station (about a 5-minute drive). If a shuttle is part of your plan, add its ride time to your Leave-By Time — it's easy to forget the 15–20 minutes between the curb and the terminal.
