Rideshare & Ground Transport

Uber & Lyft Pickup at William P. Hobby Airport

Rideshare pickup at HOU is not always at the arrivals curb — most airports now route Uber and Lyft to a dedicated lot or garage. Here is exactly where to go, how to get there, and how to keep the fare reasonable.

Avoiding surge pricing at HOU

When surge peaks: Surge peaks Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons; Texans and Astros home games affect greater Houston demand; HOU is dominated by Southwest Airlines so compressed arrival banks every ~2 hours can cause brief demand spikes.

Wait tip

Zone 5 is the dedicated TNC curb at HOU — confirm you are at the Carousel 4 exit door, not one of the other baggage claim exits, before requesting.

Compare your options

Rideshare is usually the fastest door-to-door option, but it is not always the cheapest — especially during surge.
