The HOU cell-phone waiting lot

Picking someone up? Wait free at Cell Phone Lot. 7450 Airport Boulevard, on the south side of Airport Boulevard, a block east of Telephone Road. Wait there until your traveler texts that they're at the curb, then loop in once. Follow the signs to the Cell Phone Lot. It is open 24/7 and free, but you must stay in your vehicle.

Where to catch Uber & Lyft at HOU

Uber, Lyft, Get Me, GreenLight, and Wingz pick up at Curb Zone 5 outside Baggage Claim. Exit near Carousel No. 4 and follow the Ride App signs.

Driving to HOU — routes & drive time

HOU sits about 7 miles from Downtown Houston, a drive of roughly 15–25 minutes via I-45 (the Gulf Freeway) is the main route to downtown. Broadway Street and Airport Boulevard connect the airport to I-45 — closer to the high end at rush hour.
