Arrivals pickup guide
Picking someone up at Denver (DEN)? The Final Approachis the free designated waiting area where drivers park at no charge while their passenger's flight lands and bags are collected. Below you will find exact directions, the time limit and fee rules, how to know when your passenger is ready, and what to do if the lot is full.

The DEN cell phone lot is called the Final Approach. From Peña Boulevard heading toward the terminal, take the 75th Avenue exit just past the E-470 overpass, turn left onto Gun Club Road, then turn left onto 77th Avenue; the lot is on your left at 7680 N. Wenatchee St., approximately 3 miles west of the Jeppesen Terminal. Follow airport signs for "Cell Phone Lot."
Open the Final Approach in Google Maps for turn-by-turn navigation to the lot entrance.
No posted time limit; open 24/7. After the free waiting window expires, free; no charge at any duration. To stay within the limit, wait for your passenger's “at curb” text before you leave rather than heading to the terminal the moment the plane lands.
Capacity: The Final Approach holds 253 spaces. On busy travel days the lot can fill up, so arrive early and have a backup plan.
Use the eight flight information display boards inside the Final Approach building to track your passenger's arrival; wait for their text or call confirming they have their bags and are standing curbside at Level 4 arrivals before you pull out — the drive takes about 5 minutes.
As a general rule, ask your passenger to text you only after they have their bags and are physically walking toward the arrivals curb — not when the plane touches down. Checked-bag passengers typically need 15–25 minutes after landing for baggage claim at domestic airports, and 45–60 minutesafter landing at international gates where customs adds extra time. Once you get the “at curb with bags” message, pull out and head straight there — a precise pick-up beats circling every time.
Confirm whether your passenger arrives on the East or West side of the terminal before you leave the lot — East-side doors are even-numbered (402, 404) and West-side are odd-numbered (401, 403); mixing them up adds a long walk and forces you to circle back.
If the Final Approach is full when you arrive, you have three practical options:

The Leave-By Calculator combines the live DEN TSA wait time, your drive with real-time traffic, and your boarding window into one exact time to walk out the door — no more guessing or adding “just in case” buffers by hand.

If the Final Approach is full, your best options are to do a slow loop of the airport access road and try again, pull into a short-term or daily parking garage (free for the first 15–30 minutes at many airports), or wait in an adjacent surface lot if one is available. Avoid stopping on the terminal curbside — officers will wave you on immediately.
Most cell phone lots, including the Final Approach, require drivers to remain with their vehicles at all times. Unattended vehicles are typically towed at the owner's expense. If you need to use a restroom or grab a snack, look for amenities inside or adjacent to the lot before committing to a long wait.
