Charlotte (CLT) Airport Shopping

Shopping at Charlotte Douglas International Airport spans convenience staples at Hudson News and tech accessories at InMotion through to local specialty gifts and duty-free for international travelers. See each section below for exact locations by concourse or terminal.

Duty-free liquids must stay in the sealed store bag to clear security on international connecting flights.

Duty-free shopping

Concourse E (American Airlines international gates) has duty-free retail for transatlantic departures and select international routes. Spirits, fragrance, and cosmetics available. No duty-free in domestic Concourses A–D.

US duty-free allowance

US residents may bring back $800 in duty-free goods per person. Liquids purchased at duty-free must be in the original sealed store bag when transiting international connections — otherwise they may be confiscated at the connecting airport security checkpoint.

Best shopping area

Concourse C is CLT's best domestic retail area with the highest concentration of Hudson, InMotion, and specialty shops. Concourse E is the only option for international duty-free travelers. The moving walkways throughout CLT make getting between concourses fast.

Pro Tip
