A taxi is the simplest door-to-door option and needs no app. The fare to Downtown Nashville is a flat $30 before tolls and tip.

City-set flat fare of $30 between BNA and Downtown Nashville or the Opryland area, plus about $2 per additional passenger.
Ground Transportation Center (GTC) on Level 1 of Terminal Garage 2. Taxis queue at the GTC in Garage 2; the $30 flat rate covers downtown and Opryland, with metered rates beyond those zones.
Picking someone up? Wait free at Cell Phone Waiting Lot. Free off-site lot at 1415 Murfreesboro Pike (rideshare drivers stage next door at 1413 Murfreesboro Pike). Wait there until your traveler texts that they're at the curb, then loop in once. Exit the airport toward Murfreesboro Pike; the free Cell Phone Waiting Lot is at 1415 Murfreesboro Pike — wait there until your passenger is ready, then drive to the GTC.
Leaving a car for the trip instead of getting dropped off? It's worth checking the lots: compare BNAparking by price & distance.

Uber/Lyft pick up inside the Ground Transportation Center (GTC) on Level 1 of Terminal Garage 2 — Lyft at Zone A, Uber at Zones B and C. Since June 3, 2025 rideshare DROP-OFFS also moved into the GTC (Zone D) and are no longer allowed at the departures curb except for riders needing accessibility; all rideshare activity is in Garage 2, a short covered walk from the terminal.
Dropping off? Standard departing drop-off is now inside the Ground Transportation Center, Zone D, Garage 2 Level 1 (about a 10-minute walk to ticketing); curbside drop-off is reserved for accessibility needs. Nashvillehas a single terminal, so there's no wrong-curb risk — any door gets you to check-in and security.
BNA sits about 8.6 miles from Downtown Nashville, a drive of roughly 15–30 minutes via Donelson Pike to I-40 West — closer to the high end at rush hour. That drive time is the first input into your Leave-By Time, so the calculator counts it backward from your flight along with today's security wait and the walk to your gate.
BNA has no rail link; WeGo Public Transit Route 18 runs from the GTC (Terminal Garage 2, Level 1) to the Elizabeth Duff Transit Center at WeGo Central downtown — about 20 minutes on express trips or 35-45 minutes on local trips, for $2.
Fare: $2 one-way on WeGo Route 18.
Hotel and off-airport parking shuttles load at the GTC; WeGo Route 18 is the public bus to downtown. If a shuttle is part of your plan, add its ride time to your Leave-By Time — it's easy to forget the 15–20 minutes between the curb and the terminal.
Here's the math. Parking starts around $8/day, while a round-trip taxi or rideshare to Downtown Nashville runs about $60. So a round trip by car comes out ahead once you're away more than about 8 days — for a quick trip, parking usually costs less; for a long one, getting a ride does.
Want the exact trade-off for your dates? compare BNAparking by price & distance — the closest lot isn't always the one that costs the least.

Lift-equipped wheelchair taxis are available at the GTC (reserve ahead) and Uber WAV / Lyft Access can be requested; riders needing accessibility may still be dropped or picked up at the terminal curb.
Late or overnight arrival? WeGo Route 18 runs limited hours; taxis and Uber/Lyft are available overnight from the Ground Transportation Center.
Returning a rental on the way out? Rental returns are on-site — exit the terminal and follow Rental Car signs to the rental facility in the terminal garage (1 Terminal Drive). (We cover where to return a car, not where to book one.)
Recently changed: As of June 3, 2025 all rideshare drop-offs moved to the GTC (Zone D) inside Garage 2 and curbside rideshare drop-off ended except for accessibility — verified 2026-06-27. Pickup zones and curb rules change — we verified BNA's ground-transport details as of June 27, 2026. Always check the in-app pickup pin and posted signs when you land.
If a fare or a schedule points you elsewhere, the closest airport we cover is HSV (Huntsville), about 103 miles from BNA in a straight line. The same math on this page — drive time, ride cost, security wait — decides whether the extra distance is worth it.
