St. Louis (STL) Airport Shopping

Shopping at St. Louis Lambert International Airport spans convenience staples at Hudson News and tech accessories at InMotion through to local specialty gifts and duty-free for international travelers. See each section below for exact locations by concourse or terminal.

Diagram of duty-free shopping with sealed liquid bags and the rules for carrying them through connections.
Duty-free liquids must stay in the sealed store bag to clear security on international connecting flights.

Duty-free shopping

STL has no duty-free shop — none of the airport's own retail listings or independent airport guides show a duty-free operator anywhere in Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. Travelers wanting duty-free liquor, tobacco, or fragrance should buy before arriving at STL or on arrival at their international destination instead.

US duty-free allowance

US residents may bring back $800 in duty-free goods per person. Liquids purchased at duty-free must be in the original sealed store bag when transiting international connections — otherwise they may be confiscated at the connecting airport security checkpoint.

Books & magazines

Hudson operates the airport's newsstand/bookshop locations: Concourse A at gates A8 and A17, Concourse C at gates C10 and C18, and Terminal 2 Concourse E at gates E6, E12, E18, E31, and E36. Ebony News is an additional newsstand in Concourse C near gate C5.

Convenience & travel essentials

Hudson locations (listed above) cover general convenience/sundries across both terminals. Natalie's Candy Jar, a candy and snack shop, is in Concourse C near gate C12.

Hudson News is at most gate areas throughout St. Louis Lambert International Airport — a reliable last-minute stop for charging cables, snacks, OTC medicine, and reading material before any departure.

Tech & electronics

Tech On The Go, carrying chargers, headphones, and travel electronics accessories, is in Concourse A near gate A6 and Concourse C near gate C6.

Best Buy Express kiosks carry Apple accessories, Bose headphones, and phone chargers at most major US airports. InMotion Entertainment is the other key tech stop — open at most gate clusters and stocked with travel-oriented electronics essentials.

Fashion & specialty retail

Retail is limited outside newsstands: Rip Curl (apparel) is in Concourse C near gate C6, and Luxe (jewelry/accessories) is in Concourse C near gate C15. There is no high-end fashion or duty-free-style boutique retail at STL — expect standard airport convenience and gift retail rather than designer shopping.

Best shopping area

Concourse C (Terminal 1) has the widest concentration of shops — Ebony News, Tech On The Go, Rip Curl, Hudson (two locations), Natalie's Candy Jar, and Luxe are all within the C Gates.

Pro Tip

Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are separate buildings about a mile apart with no indoor connection, so shop before you head to your gate — you can't browse Terminal 1 retail after arriving through Southwest's Terminal 2, or vice versa. Since STL has no duty-free, pick up any last-minute gifts at the Concourse C shops rather than waiting for an international arrival that won't have one.
