Maps are updated when terminals are renovated or new concourses open. Terminal 5 at LAX, for example, has been closed since October 2025 for reconstruction — always confirm your terminal from your boarding pass rather than relying on a saved map.
Here is what each terminal or concourse at SRQ handles — which airlines fly from it, the gate range, and key amenities to know before you go.
SRQ's original terminal is a two-story building: ticketing, check-in counters, and the two-carousel baggage claim are on the ground floor, with the TSA checkpoint (including a PreCheck lane) on the second floor leading out to Concourse B's 13 gates (numbered B1 through B12, plus B14 — there is no B13). Concourse B carries all airlines except Allegiant's newest gates, including American, Delta, United, JetBlue, Southwest, Frontier, Avelo, Sun Country, Breeze, and Air Canada. The concourse underwent a major 2025–2026 renovation adding new dining and retail (Wahlburgers, Motorworks Brewing, Mattison's City Grille, Huey Magoo's, Starbucks, Jimmy John's, Seaside Mercantile) and baggage-handling upgrades.
A new five-gate concourse that opened January 15, 2025, leased entirely by Allegiant Air. Gates A4–A8 are ground-level — passengers walk out onto the apron and use stairs to board rather than a jet bridge. Concourse A has its own dedicated security checkpoint, separate from the main terminal's Concourse B checkpoint, plus its own dining (Patrick's 1481, Anna Maria Oyster Bar, Sarasota To Go/Peet's). Future phases call for five more ground-level gates at the south end and three elevated, jet-bridge-served gates (A1–A3) at the north end that will physically connect Concourse A to Concourse B.
No tram or moving walkway is needed — SRQ is a compact, single-site airport — but Concourse A and Concourse B currently function as two separate secured areas, each with its own ticketing/check-in and security checkpoint, connected only landside on foot. A planned jet-bridge connector (elevated Gates A1–A3) will eventually link the two airside; until then, treat them as separate mini-terminals.
Timing tip
Always allow 15–30 minutes for any inter-terminal transfer at SRQ — wait times for people-movers, buses, or security re-screening add up faster than the physical distance suggests. Build the buffer into your Leave-By time, not your gate arrival time.
Check whether your flight departs from Concourse A (Allegiant only, Gates A4–A8) or the main terminal's Concourse B (every other airline, Gates B1–B12 & B14) before you arrive — they have separate check-in areas and separate security checkpoints, so going to the wrong one costs real time at a small airport that otherwise has very short walks.
A few habits that prevent last-minute sprints:
Experienced travellers at SRQ use a short checklist every time:

Look for departure boards throughout the terminal for real-time gate information.
