Speed and coverage

RIC WiFi delivers good speeds on the RIC Free WiFi network. RIC WiFi delivers good speeds for most tasks — browsing, email, video streaming, and light downloads all work reliably. Coverage extends throughout the terminal areas and concourses — you generally do not need to reconnect as you move through the airport.

Charging stations

Outlets are built into gate seating throughout Concourse A and Concourse B, and along Atrium seating near Applebee's and Ironclad Coffee Roasters; the upper-level Business Center also has bookable desks with power. Most major US airports — including RIC — provide a mix of USB-A, USB-C, and standard 120 V outlets at gate seating. Bring your own cable; cables are not supplied at charging kiosks.

Pro Tip

RIC was one of the first U.S. airports to offer free WiFi, launching it in 2003, and coverage runs the full length of the terminal — ticketing, Atrium, baggage claim, and both concourses — so you're online the moment you walk in, no need to wait for a gate.
