Rideshare & Ground Transport

Uber & Lyft Pickup at Portland International Airport

Rideshare pickup at PDX is not always at the arrivals curb — most airports now route Uber and Lyft to a dedicated lot or garage. Here is exactly where to go, how to get there, and how to keep the fare reasonable.

Where to get picked up at PDX

UUber Pickup Zone

Lower Roadway (Arrivals Level) — Ride App zone on the south end of the terminal, outside Doors 2 and 3.

LLyft Pickup Zone

Same Lower Roadway south-end Ride App zone as Uber — follow green Lyft TNC signs.

Pickup and drop-off often sit on different curb levels — arrivals below, departures above — so follow signs to the right level.

In the app

Select 'PDX Portland' in the app; pickup is at the Arrivals Lower Roadway, Doors 2–3, south end of the terminal.

How to find the rideshare zone

From baggage claim, exit via Doors 2 or 3 to the Lower Roadway (Arrivals Level) and turn toward the south end; the Ride App zone is clearly marked with painted lane dividers and signage.

Cell Phone Lot

The Cell Phone Lot is on NE Airport Way loop road, east side of the airport — follow brown 'Cell Phone Lot' signs; 2–3 min to the Arrivals doors. Cell phone lot details →

Avoiding surge pricing at PDX

When surge peaks: Surge spikes Friday afternoons 3–7pm, Sunday evenings 4–8pm, and Blazers/Timbers/Thorns game nights; rain delays (common October–April) compress driver availability and spike surge.

Wait tip

PDX is compact and drivers arrive quickly; wait until you exit the terminal doors before requesting to prevent driver circling while you wait at baggage claim.

Compare your options

Rideshare is usually the fastest door-to-door option, but it is not always the cheapest — especially during surge.
