Orlando (MCO) Airport Shopping

Shopping at Orlando International Airport spans convenience staples at Hudson News and tech accessories at InMotion through to local specialty gifts and duty-free for international travelers. See each section below for exact locations by concourse or terminal.

Diagram of duty-free shopping with sealed liquid bags and the rules for carrying them through connections.
Duty-free liquids must stay in the sealed store bag to clear security on international connecting flights.

Duty-free shopping

Duty-Free Americas operates in the main terminal Level 3 atrium (pre-security) and in the Airside 2 international departure area. MCO handles Caribbean, Mexico, and European routes — standard duty-free spirits, fragrance, cosmetics, and tobacco. Terminal C (opened 2022) also has duty-free retail.

US duty-free allowance

US residents may bring back $800 in duty-free goods per person. Liquids purchased at duty-free must be in the original sealed store bag when transiting international connections — otherwise they may be confiscated at the connecting airport security checkpoint.

Books & magazines

Hudson News at all four airsides (1, 2, 3, 4), Terminal C, and the main terminal. Disney and Universal Studios-themed titles, Florida travel guides, and standard bestsellers are well-stocked given the tourist traveler mix.

Convenience & travel essentials

Hudson News and gift shops throughout all airsides. Orlando-themed and Disney-adjacent souvenirs and merchandise are prevalent throughout. Florida-specific food items including local hot sauce, Key lime candy, and citrus snacks at convenience shops.

Hudson News is at most gate areas throughout Orlando International Airport — a reliable last-minute stop for charging cables, snacks, OTC medicine, and reading material before any departure.

Tech & electronics

InMotion Entertainment at most airsides. Standard tech accessories — phone chargers, earbuds, and travel adapters. No Best Buy Express confirmed at MCO.

Best Buy Express kiosks carry Apple accessories, Bose headphones, and phone chargers at most major US airports. InMotion Entertainment is the other key tech stop — open at most gate clusters and stocked with travel-oriented electronics essentials.

Fashion & specialty retail

Orlando-themed and Disney or Universal-adjacent souvenir shops dominate specialty retail at MCO. Limited high-end fashion inside the airport. Florida beach and theme-park apparel is well-stocked throughout all airsides.

Best shopping area

Airside 4 has the widest retail selection at MCO for domestic travelers. Airside 2 has the best retail for international travelers, including duty-free. The main terminal Level 3 has the most pre-security shopping options for meeters and greeters.

Pro Tip

Buy Disney or Universal souvenirs inside the parks — prices are lower and selection is better. Airport gift shops here stock the same items at higher prices. Hudson News at MCO does carry a solid selection of Florida guidebooks and travel reads.
