Rideshare & Ground Transport

Uber & Lyft Pickup at LaGuardia Airport

Rideshare pickup at LGA is not always at the arrivals curb — most airports now route Uber and Lyft to a dedicated lot or garage. Here is exactly where to go, how to get there, and how to keep the fare reasonable.

Most airports route Uber and Lyft to a dedicated pickup lot or garage rather than the arrivals curb.

Where to get picked up at LGA

UUber Pickup Zone

Terminal B: Arrivals Level, outer curbside — designated 'Ride App / TNC' lane. Terminal C (Delta): Level 2 Arrivals roadway, designated TNC zone.

LLyft Pickup Zone

Same zones as Uber — Terminal B outer Arrivals curb; Terminal C Level 2 TNC zone.

Pickup and drop-off often sit on different curb levels — arrivals below, departures above — so follow signs to the right level.

In the app

Select 'LGA Terminal B' or 'LGA Terminal C' in the app; both have curbside pickup — match your arrival terminal.

How to find the rideshare zone

Terminal B: exit baggage claim and follow 'Ride App' signs to the outer curbside TNC lane. Terminal C: exit baggage claim and go to Level 2 of the arrivals roadway following 'TNC' signs.

Cell Phone Lot

LGA has no dedicated cell phone lot; waiting drivers use the 94th Street outer roadway loop — ask your party to text as soon as they are at the pickup zone since curbside wait time is limited. Cell phone lot details →

Avoiding surge pricing at LGA

When surge peaks: Surge is nearly constant on weekday rush hours, Monday mornings, and Thursday/Friday afternoons; any NYC event adds unpredictable surges; the Q70 bus to subway can be a useful alternative.

Wait tip

LGA traffic is notorious — surge pricing is near-constant during rush hours (7–10am, 4–8pm weekdays); waiting even 10 minutes in the terminal can significantly lower fares.

Compare your options

Rideshare is usually the fastest door-to-door option, but it is not always the cheapest — especially during surge.
