Rideshare & Ground Transport
Rideshare pickup at DFW is not always at the arrivals curb — most airports now route Uber and Lyft to a dedicated lot or garage. Here is exactly where to go, how to get there, and how to keep the fare reasonable.

Arrivals (lower) level of each terminal — designated TNC/Rideshare curb with white-and-green 'Passenger Pick-Up' signs
Arrivals (lower) level of each terminal — same designated TNC curb zones as Uber

In the app
Select your specific terminal (A, B, C, D, or E) in the app; pickup is at the lower Arrivals curb of that terminal
Exit baggage claim to the lower Arrivals curb and follow white-and-green 'Rideshare/TNC' signs; pickup is at the curbside of your arrival terminal.
Cell Phone Lot
DFW has two Cell Phone Lots: North (International Pkwy near north toll plaza) and South (2400 Aviation Drive) — choose the lot closest to your passenger's terminal. Cell phone lot details →
When surge peaks: Surge peaks Friday 4–8pm and Sunday 3–8pm; Cowboys game days at AT&T Stadium in Arlington generate regional surges; summer heat waves compress driver supply midday.
Wait tip
Drivers stage in the Terminal B infield lot (primary) or Terminal E infield lot (6pm–midnight overflow); expect slightly longer waits at Terminals D and E.
Rideshare is usually the fastest door-to-door option, but it is not always the cheapest — especially during surge.
| Option | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Rideshare Uber / Lyft | Door-to-door convenience, groups with bags, no cash needed | Surge pricing on busy evenings & events; long walk to pickup lot |
| Taxi Metered cab | Predictable metered fare during surge, no app required | Often more expensive off-peak; cash sometimes required |
| Transit Train / bus | Lowest cost option, immune to surge pricing and traffic | Not available at every airport; less practical with luggage |
