Rideshare & Ground Transport

Uber & Lyft Pickup at Charleston International Airport

Rideshare pickup at CHS is not always at the arrivals curb — most airports now route Uber and Lyft to a dedicated lot or garage. Here is exactly where to go, how to get there, and how to keep the fare reasonable.

Pickup and drop-off often sit on different curb levels — arrivals below, departures above — so follow signs to the right level.

In the app

Search 'Charleston International Airport (CHS)'; app routes to the covered Zone 1–3 shelter

How to find the rideshare zone

Exit baggage claim doors, cross both roadways using the crosswalks, then turn right at the last sidewalk to reach the covered rideshare shelter with Zone 1–3 signs.

Free Cell Phone Waiting Lot on the right side of International Blvd, just before reaching the main terminal drop-off area — no posted time limit; designed for waits under 1 hour; easy re-entry to the terminal roadway. Cell phone lot details →

Avoiding surge pricing at CHS

When surge peaks: Surge peaks during Masters Tournament weekend in April (nearby Augusta), spring and fall when the historic downtown draws heavy tourism, and summer beach season Friday afternoons.

Wait tip

The shelter is a two-roadway crossing from the terminal doors — factor in that walk before tapping 'request'; the covered canopy is the key landmark to navigate by.

Compare your options

Rideshare is usually the fastest door-to-door option, but it is not always the cheapest — especially during surge.
