Rideshare & Ground Transport

Uber & Lyft Pickup at Hollywood Burbank Airport

Rideshare pickup at BUR is not always at the arrivals curb — most airports now route Uber and Lyft to a dedicated lot or garage. Here is exactly where to go, how to get there, and how to keep the fare reasonable.

Most airports route Uber and Lyft to a dedicated pickup lot or garage rather than the arrivals curb.

Where to get picked up at BUR

UUber Pickup Zone

West island (ground transportation island) across from Terminal B — 'Rideshare Pickup Area', 6 designated spaces

Pickup and drop-off often sit on different curb levels — arrivals below, departures above — so follow signs to the right level.

In the app

Search 'Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR)'; app directs to the west island opposite Terminal B — select 'Hollywood Burbank Airport', not a street address

How to find the rideshare zone

Exit either Terminal A or Terminal B and cross to the ground transportation island directly across from the Terminal B entrance — look for 'Rideshare Pickup Area' signs.

Cell Phone Lot

No dedicated cell phone lot; drivers should use Short-Term Parking (metered, typically $1–2 for under 30 min) or wait inside Terminal A or B baggage claim — do not circle the tight access road. Cell phone lot details →

Avoiding surge pricing at BUR

When surge peaks: Surge peaks Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons year-round; Pasadena Rose Bowl events, entertainment industry premieres in nearby Burbank studios, and holiday weekends push fares up noticeably.

Wait tip

Only 6 rideshare spaces are available; if all are taken the driver must re-circle — be at the island before requesting so your driver does not have to wait and risk a fine.

Compare your options

Rideshare is usually the fastest door-to-door option, but it is not always the cheapest — especially during surge.
