WiFi & Charging
Free WiFi is available throughout Appleton International Airport on the Open airport Wi-Fi network (look for the airport-branded SSID in your device's list — the airport has not published an exact network name, and it is not the same as the Boingo-style networks used at larger hubs) network. Access is Unlimited — Select the open airport Wi-Fi network, open a browser, and the connection loads automatically — no password is required. The airport also runs a short optional post-connection survey (email, trip purpose, home zip code) at atwairport.com/wifi-survey that is not required to get online.

How to connect
ATW WiFi delivers adequate speeds on the Open airport Wi-Fi network (look for the airport-branded SSID in your device's list — the airport has not published an exact network name, and it is not the same as the Boingo-style networks used at larger hubs) network. ATW WiFi provides adequate speeds for browsing and email; streaming and video calls may buffer during peak hours when the most passengers are connected simultaneously. Coverage extends throughout the terminal areas and concourses — you generally do not need to reconnect as you move through the airport.
Charging stations are provided in the terminal but coverage is limited compared to large-hub airports — the airport itself lists charging stations among its amenities, but no outlet-per-gate map is published, so bring a portable battery as backup, especially since some gates are newer (2023 expansion) than others. Most major US airports — including ATW — provide a mix of USB-A, USB-C, and standard 120 V outlets at gate seating. Bring your own cable; cables are not supplied at charging kiosks.
Pro Tip
ATW is small enough that cell signal and Wi-Fi both stay strong across the entire terminal — there's no dead zone to worry about between the checkpoint and any gate.
