Alaska Airlines quick facts
What to know before you fly
- Saver fare (lowest tier) includes a free full-size carry-on bag unlike most airlines' basic economy — same carry-on and checked bag fees as Main Cabin; however, Saver passengers board last (Group F) so overhead bin space is first-come, first-served.
- Baggage fee increase effective April 10, 2026: first checked bag rose to $45 (from $40) and second to $55 (from $45) for North America flights ticketed on or after that date.
- Atmos Rewards Visa cardholders and Atmos Silver+ elite members receive 1+ free checked bags; First Class passengers receive 2 free checked bags up to 70 lbs.; bags can be checked no more than 4 hours before departure.
